What Happens After the Initial Review

After the surgeon reviews your submitted information, a scheduled video/phone consultation will take place to discuss your goals in greater detail and refine the proposed treatment plan.

All patients must still be seen in person before surgery, but the virtual consultation process allows us to begin planning ahead of time. This can significantly streamline scheduling for patients traveling from out of town and may also allow local patients to secure a surgical date sooner.

How the Virtual Consultation Process Works

Step 1: Submit Photos and Goals

Patients begin by emailing photos of the areas they would like evaluated, along with a brief description of their aesthetic goals. These images allow the surgeon to perform an initial assessment.

Step 2: Complete Medical History Forms

Our office will send you a secure link to complete your medical history online. This information is important for evaluating candidacy for surgery and planning safely.

Step 3: Preliminary Review and Quote

Once your photos and medical history have been received, the surgeon will review your case. One of our patient coordinators will then contact you with an estimated surgical cost based on the preliminary plan.

Please allow approximately one week for our team to review and process the submitted materials.

Final Surgical Planning

Your final surgical recommendations will be confirmed during an in-person preoperative appointment. In some cases—particularly more complex procedures—the surgeon may recommend an in-office evaluation before reserving a surgery date to ensure the safest and most accurate treatment plan.

Information for Out-of-Town Patients

Patients traveling from outside the area typically arrive one to two days prior to surgery for their in-person preoperative appointment. During this visit, you will meet with your surgeon, review the surgical plan, and finalize any remaining details.

After surgery, most patients are able to travel home within several days to one week, depending on the procedure performed and their recovery progress. Certain procedures may require patients to remain locally for approximately 7–10 days to allow for appropriate postoperative care and follow-up.

Photo Instructions for Virtual Consultations

Clear photographs are essential for an accurate virtual consultation. These images allow the surgeon to evaluate your anatomy and begin developing a personalized treatment plan. Please follow the guidelines below when taking and submitting your photos.

General Photo Guidelines

To ensure the best quality images:

  • Take photos in a well-lit room with bright, even lighting
  • Stand in front of a plain background (a blank wall works best)
  • Use a neutral posture with your body relaxed
  • Avoid wearing makeup, jewelry, or accessories in the treatment area
  • Tie back long hair if submitting facial photos
  • Use minimal clothing that allows the treatment area to be clearly visible
  • Have someone assist you with photos if possible for better angles
  • Make sure the camera is level and positioned straight on
  • Submit clear, focused photos (no filters or editing)

Natural lighting or bright indoor lighting usually produces the most accurate images.

Facial Procedure Photo Requirements

If you are requesting consultation for procedures such as facelift, neck lift, eyelid surgery, or rhinoplasty, please submit the following views:

  • Front view – facing the camera
  • Right side profile
  • Left side profile
  • Right 45-degree angle
  • Left 45-degree angle
  • Close-up of the area of concern if applicable

Hair should be pulled away from the face and neck so the surgeon can clearly evaluate facial contours.

Body Procedure Photo Requirements

For procedures such as tummy tuck, liposuction, breast surgery, or body contouring, please submit the following views:

  • Front view
  • Right side view
  • Left side view
  • Back view
  • Additional close-up images of specific areas of concern if needed

Wear form-fitting clothing, underwear, or a swimsuit so the natural contours of the body are visible.
